What is a self-serve DSP?
A self-serve demand-side platform lets agencies and brands plan, launch, and optimize programmatic campaigns themselves — without renting a trading desk or hitting enterprise minimums.
A self-serve DSP (demand-side platform) is software you operate yourself to buy programmatic inventory — CTV, display, video, audio, native, and more — with your team in control of targeting, budgets, and pacing. You are not handing the book to a managed desk that returns a monthly PDF.
Self-serve vs managed vs white-label
Self-serve means your operators traffic and optimize. Managed service means someone else runs inside their seat. White-label means the self-serve (or managed) experience is branded as yours for clients. Waveband is a self-serve buying seat that also white-labels end to end — not a middleware layer over other platforms.
Who it fits
Independent agencies and in-house teams that want channel access without enterprise minimums, opaque fees, or giving up decision rights. If you need agents later, optional MCP connects under spend ceilings — it is not required to buy media.
